I have been commanded to write this blog entry on behalf of, my soon to be owner, Elizabeth Swan. We both felt that the problem, that I am attempting to address, might better be attacked from someone “on my side of the fence” than from a Mistress. This problem is not unique to Miss Swan, I have heard and read many other Mistresses making the same complaint. It is one element of time wasting and that is the “newbie” making his initial enquiries. A sub or slave must always remember that, however much a Mistress loves her work, as Miss Swan does, it is still work and She is supplying a service for a tribute, fee or whatever you want to call it. A Mistress cannot live on fresh air, must pay for premises, equipment, clothing that would not be worn anywhere other than the dungeon, web sites, directory fees, grooming etc. She also has to spend a lot of non paid time in the gym keeping her body in a Mistress like condition, hairdressers, spas etc. She also spends a lot of time on administration; running social media accounts, answering e mails, DMs and telephone calls. Now Mr Newbie Timewaster and it is you I am talking to, there was a time before the internet when one could only find a Mistress through contact magazines or cards in “phone boxes. There was no internet to feed, inform and explain those masochistic tendencies that you have had since puberty. In those dark days you could be excused for ringing a Mistress and asking lots of questions about what will happen, what she will wear and all the rest. But to do this in 2014 tells us one of two things; you are trying to get a free, virtual wank when many respectable and professional Mistresses provide telephone services at reasonable fees or YOU HAVE NOT READ THE MISTRESSES WEB SITE. I was a newbie once and know how many Mistresses web sites I visited, many on numerous occasions, before I plucked up the courage to make my first appointment. I do not believe that I am unique in this. The very fact that you have Miss Swan’s telephone number means that you have visited her web site and all the questions that you are asking are answered on the site. Miss Swan is happy for you to ring her and make an appointment or discuss the possibility of one but don’t forget that it is a two way traffic. She might not want to see you. Here are Miss Swan’s scribe slave’s top tips for a happy telephone experience:-- Tell Her about yourself: age etc but don’t ramble on.
- Don’t be afraid to tell her that you are a newbie and nervous. She would be amazed if you weren’t.
- If you are not a newbie and pretend to be Miss Swan will suss you out in about thirty seconds.
- Don’t go into detail about your expectations. Believe me, you don’t really know what you want. You will only find out when you start playing and scene details are always discussed before the start of a session.
- Be polite, obviously.
- Don’t assume that Miss Swan is desperate for your custom. She isn’t.
- Don’t ask anything that you can find on Her web site unless you genuinely don’t understand.
- If you want to chat about yourself, Miss Swan, life, the universe or the price of bread, you will find Miss Swan delightful company – in session not on the phone.
